रोटरी परिवार को दिवाली की शुभकामनाएं ।

Today is DHANTERAS the first day of Diwali, followed by RUP CHAUDAS, LAXMI PUJAN, NAYA SAAL & BHAI DUJ. So Rotary family have a good time, enjoy yourself with close friends and family. Trust you have received the beautiful Diya & the greeting card, an initiative of CP Greetings & Recognition Rann Akanksha Agrawal & Director Sanjay.

The “Yoga sutra” program conducted by Mrs Sunita Wadhawan on 16th Oct deserves a special praise. The feedback I get is awesome, there was so much of synergy and enthusiasm, it was amazing. With programs like this I think we should not mind if the meeting occasionally gets extended by 10-15 mins. Great going CP Akash Agrawal.

Please excuse my lapse in not dutifully reporting our meeting with Dr Prakashbhau Amte on 13th of this month. Some of us lucky ones got an opportunity of meeting Prakashbhau & Mandatai during the special screening of his movie “Prakash Baba Amte – The real hero” at PVR cinemas. Since most of us fondly identify with Prakashbhau and Lok Biradari Prakalp Hemalkasa, one can clearly understand the flow of the movie. The movie though in Marathi has english sub titles for ease of understanding the flow. I would be glad if you can take some time out and go and watch this biopic on the compassion & sacrifice of being Dr Prakash Baba Amte.

The blood donation committee under Director Gogi is silently going about it’s assignment of collecting blood, yesterday & today they have a camp at Empress city mall. If you happen to be in the EMPRESS city mall, please visit the Camp on 2nd floor opposite Chaudhari Lifestyle, to cheer up Team Blood Donation. Please DO NOT ignore.

October 24th is World Polio day, and Rotary India has a special reason to cheer, as in March this year India was declared POLIO FREE. All the Rotary clubs in Nagpur under the dynamic leadership of District Chairperson for Polio Rtn K.S.Rajan are enthusiastically organising a special celeberation, where the effigy of Polio virus will be symbolically burned. We expect a good turnout of Rotarians, Rotary annes, children, Rotractors & Interactors. Would like to see most of you there at

5 pm on 24th October, Ramnagar ground, behind Ramnagar temple, Ramnagar square.

So enjoy the week ahead, will get back to you if there is something important before the meeting on 30th.

Bharat Goenka
