February 26, 2015 divider image

A wonderful Thursday morning friends !

The regular meeting today is dedicated to the passionate & committed members of our club, and to the fantastic signature projects of Rotary Club of Nagpur which they have carried off with aplomb. These projects form the backbone of our club and the club is identified by them.

UDAAN the day long sports & cultural event for specially abled children was a superb success on February 14th and Team Udaan would like share with you some of the glorious moments of this project through some beautiful pictures.

HEMALKASA surgical camp is the flagship project of RCN started about 26 years back and this year we had the privilege of organising the first mega surgical camp in a brand new state of the art hospital and the First LAPROSCOPIC surgery successfully conducted over there. We have captured some very thrilling moments and would make a visual presentation.

ROTARY CRICKET LEAGUE, a unique cricket match beautifully conceptualised by some of our sporty ladies, they had a teams auction, a gala dinner and the matches involving cricketing ladies from the other Rotary clubs of Nagpur. This should also be a visual treat. I have been proudly informed by Director Monal that this has been a fund raiser project for the club.

ROTARY CARNIVAL, held on Feb 23rd Rotary day was the first mega PR joint jointly conducted by all the 21 Rotary clubs of Nagpur, the entire project which had more than 1000 footfalls was conceptualised and executed by the big four clubs of Nagpur RCN, Ishanya, North & West and supported by the other clubs. I identified a large number of our members who were thorougly enjoying the huge variety of gourmet food and the games stalls. I am sure The Rotary Carnival will NOW become an annual feature on the social calendar of Nagpur.

AND THE IYE presentation by these lovely bright exchange students is going to be something else. After spending the last 9 months with us in Nagpur, they are now preparing to go back to their homeland with a lot of cherished memories of their stay with us. They have looked forward to this presentation and am anticipating something very interesting. CP Geeta Rao has being working hard on this presentation for quite sometime and ensured that she gets decent minutes this time.

SO PLEASE BE THERE THIS EVENING FOR A WONDERFUL TREAT and be a part of RCNs glory.

Chitnavis Centre 6 pm, please note the meeting is shifted to MIMOSA HALL due to some bookings.

NOW WALKATHON ON MARCH 1st, have you registered ?   This is our club’s biggest PR exercise, where we get connected with a large number of Nagpurians. There are huge hoardings everywhere, Radio jingles continuously on 91.1 fmRadiocity, TOI, Economic Times, Nagpur Times ads and other media coverage for this mammoth event.

It’s an invigorating sight in the morning to see our young bubbly rotarians and even younger rotaractors fervently canvassing for the Walkathon, convincing walkers at all the important parks in the city that they should “WALK FOR LIFE” and help themselves by registering for the Walkathon. This morning the response at Seminary Hills was so amazing that we temporarily ran out of forms.

SO BE A PART OF THIS EXERCISE, PLEASE REGISTER AND ALSO ENTHUSE YOUR FRIENDS TO DO SO.

Booking forms & T shirts available at the Chitnavis venue today.
