Wishing you all a Happy Dusshera & Bakhri Eid. We also celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary today with the launch of Prime Minister’s ambitious nationwide “स्वच्छता अभियान”. Rotary Club of Nagpur is commiting itself to be an integral part of this movement. We are teaming up with our enthusiastic Rotaractors to launch our movement  today evening. Let us all take a pledge –

That I, as a conscientious Rotarian and a citizen of India, commit that I will not throw any garbage/ waste on roads, and will dispose it only in dustbins or locations provided for the same. I shall also spread this message among all my near & dear ones. I  request you to clean India beginning with ourselves.    आज यही है मेरा नारा, स्वच्छ हो भारत देश हमारा !

Rotary’s day out on Sunday was just amazing. Starting with a superb breakfast hosted by Achal & Nidhi Gandhi at their Tata Motors Showroom, and with the whole Gandhi family taking very good care of us. The vocational visit at the sprawling lush green industrial campus of Topworth Urja & Metals was informative & fascinating, rounding up with a sumptuous lunch. I suppose a day well spent by the few adventurous Rotarians, annes, children & IYE students who decided to go. Cheers Director Beena.

We had a Board meeting on Monday where some important issues and events concerning the club were discussed, and would also like to share the information with you members. Your views & opinion matters to the board, so, please attend the business meeting today at 6 pm at Chitnavis centre.

With the spate of Youth & Vocation activities wrapped up, there seems to be brief lull before our service activities pick up.  Our Director Medical Dr Rajesh Singhania is going to announce a spate of surgical camps during the next five months.

Looking forward to meeting all our Rotarians this evening.

Bharat Goenka
