“Katha” – Weekly Meeting

December 31, 2015 divider image

It was the last meeting of 2015 and there was excitement and anticipation felt  in the air.

President Khushnoor called the meeting to order.

An important announcement was made regarding the collection of funds for  sweaters to be distributed to school children during Hemalkasa camp. Rtn. Rajendra Jaiswal was happy to announce that our members had wholeheartedly contributed and we were close to achieving the target.

Rtn Vilas Kale read out a katha that has been written by him in the form of a one act play. The story about an evening between two old friends and the confessions made by one of them was engrossing. Mr Kale enacted the story using voice modulation and expressions .It was indeed an enjoyable experience.

The second story was about an old retiree who is enticed by a young scheming lady to write his autobiography .It brought home the fact that  every one of us thinks we have had an interesting life worth sharing  and we are taken for granted by our families. This makes us gullible to being deceived by strangers. Rt.Ann Neeta Kale and Rtn. ShabbirShakir enacted their roles with expertise.

Three  senior members have decided to resign from our club .It was with heavy hearts that we bid adieu to them. They are Rtn Anil Sahasrabhojanee ,RtnYatinMalji,  Rtn  Ashok Malani.

Finally it was the moment thatwe all had been waiting for.It was time to award  the chairpersons, who have  been toiling in the last six months. Some of them are active in multiple projects. They received awards at the hands of President Khushnoor Chugh. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks.
