Finally it’s all about our Medical projects

November 20, 2014 divider image

Greetings Rotary family, have a wonderful day today !

Last week some of our Ophthalmologists & others were at Yogiraj Charitable Hospital at Ramtek and conducted 80 IOT surgeries on BPL persons residing in nearby villages. They were at their operating station right from 8 am to 6 pm on 15th & again on 16th. My sincere thanks to Team Medical Dr Rajesh Singhania , Dr Rafat Khan, Dr Prashant Chaudhary, Dr Shivani Bidaye from our club along with other surgeons for providing their skills & service to humanity at the state of the art hospital. It is an amazing place with the Ramtek Hills in the forefront, built with a strong conviction & dedication by a popular Nagpurian Mr Deepak Chhabra. Though now based in Gurgaon he specially flew in for this Camp and on my request, graciously facilitated for substantial donation for the camps. The Yogiraj surgical camp is slated for 29th & 30th again with a lot of surgeries.

Please get ready for our 70th Charter Nite to be celebrated on December 13th. Team Alok Goenka has already recovered from their ‘Rangilo Rajasthan’ grand spectacle, and are fully involved in the planning for our Club’s greatest event. After my meeting with his CPs Rajesh Yadav & Madhavi Naidu, I am convinced there is some good time coming for all of you. Please keep yourself free on Saturday 13th Dec. For Board Members & their Chairpersons there will be a hot sumptuous Breakfast followed by Governor’s Club Assembly. Thereafter we will have a meeting with Interactors & Rotaractors, Project visits, Governor’s lunch with Official Club visit formalities. Please wait for an official communique’ for the time & venue for all the above functions.

It is important to mention here that RCN has a responsibility towards attendance at The District Conference to be held at Nasik on Dec 20th & 21st. I must admit here that though we may have 366 members, the enthusiasm is lacking on the District Events front. We are very much an integral part of D3030 and please do not take it lightly.  I would like more of you to register and attend the conference & other District Events. Rooms have been reserved at Nasik and can assure you of a good time. President Elect Khushnoor Chugh is in charge, please volunteer.

Now this evening we have our resolute, undaunted, well informed Editor GO, Nimish Sutaria taking you on a gastronomical journey to some well frequented & many undiscovered food joints in our wonderful city of Nagpur. Most of us foodies would certainly enjoy this evening  with him. We will also be felicitating  the Opthalmic doctors of Yogiraj Camp, we have a Britisher Andrew Disbury speaking briefly on Education system in his country, club programs etc..

Please be there at Chitnavis Centre at 6 pm this evening. First regale on the hot delicious snacks & then the meeting.

Bharat Goenka
