A day with Sevanand Vidyalaya

Work Hard and have Fun. Not ’have only fun’ or ‘only work hard’ seems to be president’s mantra this year.  Sevanand Vidyalaya’s installation on 15th July: 2012 was a perfect example of this.

New team of Intreactors were installed in somber ceremony, which started with prayers. Past presidents Gulab Mahant, Shabir Shakir and Ganesh Joshi were given warm welcome. President Atul Shah, first lady Shefali Shah, Secretary Shabbar Shakir, Director New Generation Sandeep Pathak, Advisor Renu Thapar, Chairperson Namita Sharma, Shalini Naidu, Sonal Ajmera were welcomed with rose flower. Chairperson Community services Vinita Shukl, Madhu Mrig, and Smita were also present on the occasion.

Outgoing President Neha Rathod read her report. She mentioned that Rakhis were sold enthusiastically by school children and proceeds were used to provide stationery to needy children. They also planted tree on a large scale this year. Pranali Karnake and Priyanka Roykumar were inducted as President and Secretary respectively. President Pranali showed commitment to start ‘Muthi bhar aanaj’ project this year in her school. Past President Gulab Mahant addressed the school children and insisted on sincerity in behavior, which will take them to greater heights. President Atul Shah asked them to be law abiding citizen and wished them luck for coming year. Secretary Priyanka presented vote of thanks.

Community Welfare team distributed uniform, book, notebooks and stationary. They also donated sports equipment’s for boys and girls. Kabbadi and Kho-kho matches were organized by sports committee for the school children in which some of Rotarian and Rotarianns too tried their hands. Food was served to school children and staff, which was followed by fellowship. A large number of Rotarian and anns attended the function to make it a huge success.
