WISHING MY ROTARY FAMILY A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Six months of Rotary year 2014-15 have gone and we are now in the new calendar year. While I am optimistic of all good things happening for all of you, I would be glad if you increase your Rotary Quotient for 2015. Every New year brings with it hope & promises, and as the days unfold we some of them being fulfilled and life goes on.

During the last meeting we had Director SCZCC Mr Piush Kumar speaking in chaste hindi about Indian culture & traditions and about his ambitious plans for SCZCC during this year. We are in for some real good musical & cultural programs through out the year and as per Mr Piush’s suggestion we will register all our members so that they directly get updates from SCZCC.  I must thank Rtn.Shweta Singh for the wonderful Christmas decoration.

On 26th Kapil Bahri, Prashant Rajurkar & my son Yash accompanied me to Hemalkasa for the inauguration of the new Lok Biradari Prakalp Hospital of Shri Prakash Amte. We could just reach on time and were fascinated to see the new hospital and the well equipped modern Operation Theaters. It would be a pleasure for our doctors to operate in this environment. Looking forward to the Opthalmic & surgical camps in January & February respectively.

Yesterday we had our sixth board meeting hosted by Director Vocation Beena Mathew. Our board meetings are real serious with lot of discussions on club related issues and future plans of Directors. After the serious discussions we were all in for a musical treat by Beena & Shibu’s sons as they put up a good show which got some of us singing & dancing way beyond 12.

The important board decisions will be read out in the business meeting of January 1st. Hope to see most of you there for the meeting as we ring in the New Year. The Ladies Committee also has a parallel program today so spouses are most welcome. They have some Ayurvedic experts coming in from Baidyanath to talk about various remedies.

Bharat Goenka

President
