Dear Friends,

22nd November saw close to 300 specially abled friends of ours dancing on popular number “Lakadi ki kaathi…..”. This was at ‘Udaan – khushiyon bhari’, a project that was appreciated by all! This was only phase 1, awaiting the grand finale on 14th February, as always, in a new awatar.

November was a month of many community based services projects: more than 300 water filters were distributed to villagers of Tadoba region with help of Rotary clubs of Canada and TRACT. Grains were distributed to Panchwati Ashram inmates and a paediatric camp was arranged at Antar Bharati Shala. Sonography camp for pregnant ladies of the tribal region of Melghat was conducted by our team of Doctors. Scholarships were distributed to deserving children that brought many smiles to the faces of children. Blood donation camp was held at Spacewood Furnishers Pvt. Ltd. and at Interact clubs.

Winter fellowship was an ice breaking get together with the old and new members chatting, laughing and indulging in small entertaining games just like the old times. The Saveus Quiz was about 45 schools participating¬† on wildlife and nature. Take Rotary Home saw 20 Rotary couples interact together. The programmes committee gave us an excellent mix of celebrity talks, panel discussions, gourmet’s delight and fitness programmes that kept our Thursday meetings interesting and enjoyable.

RCN has a super rich legacy of 74 glorious years and we all await a grand celebration of our Charter! We look forward to pay tributes to our Past Presidents who have steered our club to this glory in their respective Presidential years, ably supported by their spouses and the Honorary Secretaries. The Official District Governor’s visit is scheduled on 16th December, 2017, with a club assembly and the Charter Nite Celebrations are scheduled on December 17th with a hilarious adaptation of “Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain?” by our members.

We now start our preparations for the flagship projects of Hemalkasa Medical and Non medical camps and Walkathon. These are the pride of RCN and I appeal to EVERY ROTARIAN & SPOUSE to voluntarily come forward and support the committees to make this a stupendous success!

Many things done, lots to do ….. Come join and strengthen each other’s hands and enjoy Rotary!

Yours in Rotary

Rina Sinha
